Where is the house?
In Sylvan Park, a historic, walkable neighborhood in west Nashville (ZIP 37209), two blocks from the restaurants on Murphy Road. The exact address is sent to guests after booking.
How far is it from Broadway and downtown Nashville?
About 4.7 miles: 10–15 minutes by car or rideshare. You're close enough for a night on Broadway and far enough to sleep on a quiet street.
How far is it from Vanderbilt University Medical Center?
About 2.8 miles, or 7–10 minutes by car. Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt is about the same distance, and Ascension Saint Thomas West Hospital is 1.5 miles (about 5 minutes).
What can I walk to?
Murphy Road's neighborhood restaurants and pub (Star Bagel, Caffè Nonna, McCabe Pub) are about a two-minute walk. McCabe Park and its public golf course are 10 minutes on foot, the Produce Place grocer is 8 minutes, and Richland Park and its library are 15–20 minutes.
How far is the airport?
Nashville International Airport (BNA) is about 13 miles away, 20–25 minutes by car depending on traffic.

How many people does the house sleep?
Up to 10 guests in 4 bedrooms: two king beds, one queen and two doubles. There are 4 full bathrooms and a powder room.
Is the pool heated?
Yes. The backyard has a private heated plunge pool with a waterfall wall, next to a covered patio with a brick fireplace.
Is there an elevator?
Yes. A private elevator serves every floor, so guests who'd rather skip the stairs (or carry luggage) can reach every level.
Is the house accessible?
The elevator reaches every floor, and one bathroom has a large walk-in shower with a built-in bench. There are steps at the front entrance, so call or text us about specific mobility needs before you book.
Is it good for working remotely?
Yes: high-speed Wi-Fi, a desk nook in the upstairs sitting room, and several separate living areas (living room, media room, den and rooftop porch) so people aren't on top of each other.
Is there parking?
Yes, off-street parking for two cars behind the house.
Booking & stays
What is the minimum stay?
5 nights. Stays of up to 60 nights can be booked online, and the house is set up for stays of two weeks to two months.
What are the check-in and checkout times?
Check-in is from 4:00 PM and checkout is by 10:00 AM.
Are taxes included in the price?
No. The calendar shows the nightly rate, cleaning fee and service fee before taxes. Tennessee state sales tax, Davidson County sales tax and county lodging tax (together about 17% of the nightly rate and cleaning fee) are added on the checkout page, where you see the full total before you send your request. For example, 5 nights at $1,400 in November 2026 came to $7,748 before taxes and $9,008.42 with $1,260.42 in taxes.
Can I book instantly?
Bookings are requests: you pick dates, see the full price with taxes, and send the request through the secure checkout. Leslie & Dan then confirm it.
Does the house have a short-term rental permit?
Yes. Metro Nashville short-term rental permit #2017004150.

House rules
Can we have a party or event at the house?
No. Parties and events aren't allowed, and quiet hours run from 10 PM to 8 AM because it's a residential street. The house suits groups who want a calm, comfortable base 10–15 minutes from Broadway.
Are pets allowed?
No, pets aren't allowed.
Are children welcome?
Yes, children and infants are welcome.
Is smoking allowed?
No, the house is non-smoking, inside and out.
